G-Cloud is a framework set up by the UK Government and managed by the Crown Commercial Service to enable UK public sector organisations, including charities, to select and procure accredited cloud products and services.
The G-Cloud framework is designed to ease procurement by public-sector bodies in departments of the United Kingdom Government.
Director of Information Security at Ironbridge Associates, Harvey Ellams said: “The public sector’s move away from hardware solutions and towards the greater value and efficiencies offered by the cloud is still accelerating and G-Cloud simplifies the procurement process. Our cloud services ensure the reliability and security that every organisation, public or private, needs today.”
Under the G-Cloud framework buyers can:
- Search for the solutions they need through an accessible Digital Marketplace
- Be assured that the cloud solutions or services offered are provided by accredited Vendors who comply with a baseline of security, technical, ethical, and service requirements
- Benefit from a procurement process that is faster and therefore, less expensive
With G-Cloud accreditation, Ironbridge are approved to support UK public sector organisations and agencies as they transition to the next generation of Cloud delivered Software architecture
